Buyer/Expediter

Service Pump & Supply is looking for an efficient entry-level team member to assist with purchasing, inventory, and order processing.  With three locations in two states, we depend on a strong supply chain management team for our success. We have been serving customers for more than 40 years, and we take pride in our efforts to manage and protect the world’s most precious resource: water.  We need talented people who are committed to excellence and hungry to prove what they can accomplish. 

This position requires critical planning, organizing, and multitasking capabilities.  The person we hire will be attentive to detail, comfortable handling a variety of assignments, and excited about opportunities for problem solving. The position is located in the finance department and will work closely with our sales and operations teams.

What You Will Do

You will report to the Controller and support the purchasing and order fulfillment functions for a busy team.  This support will include:

• creating, processing, and submitting purchase orders (POs) based on sales orders, work orders, and set safety stock levels
• expediting POs and coordinating the timing of ordering
• coordinating inventory management
• reviewing, monitoring, and following up on open work orders and sales orders
• creating purchase agreements in the ERP system to streamline the ordering process and control costs

What You Bring to Service Pump

The ideal candidate for this job:

• has well-developed communication and time management skills.
• is eager to learn and take on responsibility. 
• works well with minimal supervision and follows through on assigned tasks.
• is proficient in MS Office Suite or similar software.  

• Familiarity with typical ERP and/or MRP systems. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
• Experience or an internship in an industrial work environment (preferred).
